I'm not proud to share this but I've been in relationships for the past 6.5 years. I didn't intend to be a serial dater but somehow I ended up being one. I came to New York City in 2014 for work and ended up in a relationship for roughly 4 years. I then jumped into my next relationship rather quickly and another 2.5 years went by. So here I was in 2021 - 30 years old, 7 years in one of the greatest cities in the world, and....single for the first time. Again, not proud but it is what it is. I'm not a conservative person by any means, but I've never experienced the common "one-night-stand." How does this happen? Do people plan ahead? Do I need to bring my toothbrush? As stupid as these questions seem today, just last year those were the very questions I pondered about as I headed towards my newly single life.
